Mary Anne Sacco is the co-author of Significant Studies in Second Grade: Reading and Writing Investigations for Children (Heinemann, January 2004) A teacher for over ten years, Mary Anne began her career in New York City's district ten. She has taught Kindergarten through fourth grade and is presently teaching second grade at the Manhattan New School, where she's been for the last five years. Mary Anne has worked as a staff developer in District Two, and has conducted workshops for teachers in Reading and Writing across the country.
