Linda Guerrini has been an educator for 38 years. During that time she has held positions as teacher,
District Management Team Leader, and Supervisor of Health and Physical Education K-12 as well
as Supervisor of Science K-12 in the Parsippany-Troy Hills School District. In addition to making
contributions to curriculum and instruction in those designated fields, Linda has distinguished herself
by furthering the advancement of Physical Education instruction through grants to the Parsippany-Troy
Hills School District, state presentations, and curriculum development also at the state level.
Most notably, Linda was responsible for managing the Carol M. White Physical Education for Progress
Grant (PEP Grant), a federally funded program that significantly reformed Physical Education in the
Parsippany-Troy Hills District. Linda has infused technology into the Physical Education program enabling
the district to effectively utilize technology for student assessment. Linda partnered with the Goryeb
Children’s Hospital at Morristown Medical Center, bringing an online obesity prevention program
for teens to the Parsippany-Troy Hills School District. In addition, in partnership with the National
Football League and the Cooper Institute, Linda procured a grant for participation in a longitudinal study
that tracked students’ fitness and health results. The Fitnessgram Grant data was used as part of the
District’s program evaluation of Physical Education.
