With a background in and passion for literacy, Matt works with teachers and scholars to build reading and writing culture across content areas, and employ literacy best practices across disciplines to prepare scholars for the rigors of Common Core Standards. Throughout Matt's career, he has served as a classroom teacher, Teacher Leader, and Literacy Coach, has written curriculum, and has delivered professional development workshops across the country. As an Assistant Principal, I observe teachers daily and provide immediate feedback, and host coaching meetings weekly with each instructor to conduct video debrief and practice.
