Alex Chambers

Alex Chambers is currently an assistant professor at a NJ University. Originally a nationally certified American Sign Language interpreter and sign language instructor, he switched careers in 2007, graduating from Arizona State University with a Masters in special education. After teaching in the classroom for a number of years, Alex enrolled at the University of Arizona and completed a Ph.D. in special education in the spring of 2016. During his program, he focused on building skills in assessment, multi-cultural curriculum development, transition, self-advocacy, and using technology in instruction. Alex does workshop presentations for teachers and for para-professionals on a wide variety of topics, that are hands-on and practical.
