Aurelle Sprout has
a Master's Degree in Dance from Temple University and a
Bachelor's Degree in Art from Pennsylvania State
University. She had graduate assistantships in dance
from Temple University and in art from San Francisco
State University. In 1998 she was the recipient of a
Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation Summer Opportunity Award
for Visual Artist/Educators with a follow-up school
grant. Being a Geraldine R. Dodge Fellow has opened up
opportunities for mini-grants and for docented museum
tours in the Hudson River Valley, Boston, Washington
D.C., Philadelphia, Baltimore, and Hamilton (Grounds for
Sculpture). Conference highlights include presenting at
the National Art Education Association in NYC and Denver
and Art Educators of New Jersey. Topics include
Interdisciplinary, Creative Problem-Solving;
Collaborative Problem-Solving Through Art; Open Space
Celebration; Drawing as Meditation: Getting Lost in a
Line; Thinking in Clay; Clay Expressions; Customized
"Guitars" with an Art History Flair; Art with a Message;
Painting in 3-D; and Dimensions in Acrylics. Aurelle has
been teaching art and/or dance for approximately 25
years and presently teaches in a NJ School District.
