Dr. Barbara Berman is a dynamic presenter who "walks her talk".
She draws upon many years of experience as a teacher in the NYC Public Schools, in college classrooms, and at hundreds of workshops throughout the United States to present practical and stimulating sessions.

Her research-based, hands-on seminars connect mathematics content and the state standards with the teaching strategies that work in crowded classrooms.

Barbara has been a frequent speaker at local, state (AMTNJ, AMTNYS) and National (NCTM, NCSM, NSDC) mathematics conferences for more than twenty years.

She has been published in many professional journals, including those of NCTM, School Science and Mathematics Assn., and the National Staff Development Council. Her many practical books for teachers are available from several educational publishers.

Barbara is currently a consultant to urban school systems in New York, New Jersey, and Washington DC.
