Cindy Strickland
is currently pursuing her doctorate in Educational Psychology with an Emphasis in Gifted at the University of Virginia and serves as teaching assistant to Carol Ann Tomlinson. She is an international consultant in the areas of differentiation of instruction, the Parallel Curriculum Model, and gifted education. Cindy’s publications in differentiation include the online course Success with Differentiation and Differentiation in Practice: A Resource Guide for Differentiating Curriculum, Grades 9-12. Other publications include In Search of the Dream: Designing Schools and Classrooms That Work for High Potential Students From Diverse Cultural Backgrounds ; and The Parallel Curriculum Model in the Classroom: Applications Across the Content Areas. Cindy has been a teacher for over 20 years. She has taught music, French, humanities and gifted education to elementary through college age students.
