Dr. Laura Rigolosi is a passionate educator who brings her love of learning and teaching to each workshop she facilitates and each classroom she visits. She taught high school English in a New York City high school for several years, bringing the classics to life for her heterogeneously- grouped students, and modeling balanced literacy strategies for teachers and administrators in San Diego and Cincinnati.
Since 2003, Laura has worked as a staff developer helping scores of teachers in the Bronx, Manhattan, and New Jersey deepen student engagement and align curricula to CCSS. She earned her doctorate (2015) in English Education from Columbia University/ Teachers College, and is constantly reading, writing, researching, and thinking about the many ways we can bring rigor and access to ALL secondary students.
