Naomi Isaac-Simpson
is an experienced educator that has been teaching for
over 25 years. She has worked as a middle school mathematics teacher,
school-based professional development provider, city-wide professional
development coordinator, mentor to district-wide staff developers, adjunct
professor and educational consultant across the United States in
mathematics. She has customized professional development for schools,
districts and citywide professional conferences. An important goal is to
support teachers and school districts create classrooms that develop
successful and confident learners of mathematics.
Ms. Isaac-Simpson has authored articles on effective mathematics instruction
in nationally recognized periodicals. She was the lead editor and content
coordinator for a Mathematics Resource Guide for teachers in grades K-12.
She has also been a co-curriculum writer for the NYC Summer Instructional
Resource Guide Pre-K to 6.
She has a B.A in Elementary Education and Speech Pathology/Audiology and a
M.S. in Secondary Education/Mathematics.
