Robert Violette is on the music and theater faculty
of Montgomery Middle and High School. Mr. Violette is
widely known in the performing arts community as a performer,
director and producer. Audiences and critics alike have
warmly received his opera and concert appearances across
the United States and in Italy. His expertise as an
organist and choirmaster brought him to the attention
of many denominations, which have called on him to give
workshops and establish educational programs in sacred
music around the country. He was on the directing staff
for the 1981 Broadway production 'Kingdoms' which starred
Armand Assante and Roy Dotrice. In addition, he has
directed for community theaters and schools in Louisiana,
Florida, New York and New Jersey. For several years
Mr. Violette was on the voice faculty of the New Jersey
State School of the Arts. His private voice studio also
offers career counseling and assistance to students
and emerging professionals. Mr. Violette has written
for "Classical Singer" magazine. He has been
featured in several newspaper articles and interviewed
on various radio stations. He has been broadcast in
performance by National Public Radio. He has been in
"Who's Who in Education" twice; is currently
nominated for Who's Who 2005. And, he was a 2004 Semi-Finalist
for 'The College of New Jersey Outstanding Educator
Award.' Oh yes, he also maintains a fairly full performance
schedule in New York and Italy.
