Denise Trainor has been an educator for
more than 35 years teaching kindergarten students
through fifth grade. Denise was a classroom teacher,
special educator, reading recovery teacher, adjunct
professor of literacy, Literacy Coach and Staff Developer.
She is currently a full time national consultant, and
conducts workshops and coaching visits on all aspects of
Reader's and Writer's Workshop aligned with TCRWP
for regular education, special education and ESL grades
K-5 teachers and administrators
Denise has conducted countless literacy workshops for
teachers in New York, New Jersey, Maryland and Virginia
and has presented at various local, state and national
reading conferences across the country. | |

by: Tonia Percy
Tonia Percy provides workshops on the best
practices in literacy instruction, assists teachers with
curriculum development and standards alignment and offers
on-site coaching for teachers and coaches in school districts
throughout the country. Her classroom at the Manhattan
New School served as a lab site for teachers and researchers
from across the US, Canada, Germany and Sweden.
Tonia holds a Master's Degree from Teachers College. She has
served as a guest lecturer at Teacher's College and many other
universities. Tonia is well known for her dynamic and
engaging workshops, which give teachers practical strategies
that can be easily implemented the very next day. | |

- Teaching tips and ideas that benefit struggling readers as well as proficient and advanced readers
- Suggestions for maximizing the effectiveness of the interactive read aloud, partnerships and book clubs
- Simple procedures for monitoring student progress

Fee:
$125 per person. Register 4 weeks in advance and
pay only $100 per person. No confirmation will be sent. Your cancelled
check or credit card statement will be your receipt. |
Cancellations one week prior to the workshop date, will be refunded less a $15.00 cancellation fee. Later cancellations will receive credit towards an upcoming workshop. Substitutions are allowed at any time.
If workshop is cancelled due to inclement weather, the event will be rescheduled. Refunds will not be granted, but we will issue credit towards a future workshop. |
Payment is due prior to the workshop. Fee includes seminar
registration, a personalized certificate of attendance, refreshments,
and a resource handbook. On-site registration is available, if space
allows. Please call ahead to check on space availability. |
